Marine Biological Surveys
We are registered professional biologists with BC’s College of Applied Biology. We design and implement field surveys assessing marine ecosystem components from vegetation and invertebrates to marine mammals. We have experience working along all three of Canada’s coastlines, both near- and offshore. As biologists, we have extensive training in scientific methods related to data acquisition and analysis though we equally recognize the value that Indigenous knowledge and perspectives bring to our work.

Impact Assessment & Permitting
We have decades of experience with marine-based projects across sectors such as government, oil and gas, marine ports and terminals, and renewable energy. We work with our clients to develop and deliver biophysical surveys, impact assessments, mitigation planning, and follow-up monitoring design. We also have strong working relationships with federal and provincial regulators, in-depth knowledge of relevant policy & legislation, and experience delivering thorough and successful permitting applications.

Project Strategy & Issues Scoping
Every project is unique and demands a tailored approach. We work with our clients to build comprehensive regulatory and permitting strategies that provide clarity and certainty to stakeholders and respect Indigenous rights and title. We lead multi-disciplinary teams and work closely with engineers to come up with solutions for avoiding Project impacts through design.

Expert Reviews
We conduct third-party expert reviews of deliverables developed for proposed and operational projects in the marine environment. We are knowledgeable, objective, and help clients manage project-related risk. We also have considerable experience as expert witnesses providing testimony for public review hearings, where we translate highly technical information in accessible ways.
